Shaosheng Li
Li Shaosheng is currently a Composer-in-Residence of China National Symphony Orchestra. His main compositional genres include symphonic work, chamber music, Chinese Traditional Orchestra and opera. Li Shaosheng's compositional style draws on varies symphonic and chamber techniques extending from the Classical Period to the present age. His works integrate the structure, tone and spiritual value of traditional Chinese opera, folk songs, religious music, and form a unique compositional style . After graduating from the Central Conservatory of Music in 2012, he received master's and doctor's degrees in the Juilliard School and UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance respectively.

●Symphony "Suzhou Ballad" will bepremiered in the world by the Suzhou Symphony Orchestra on June 16.


"The Yongding Gate" will be performed by the Beijing National Orchestra at the National Grand Theater in Beijing on June 13.

On May 19, "Riding the Wind and Breaking the Waves" will be world premiered at the National Centre for the Performing Arts by the Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra, Chorus and original singer Du Pengpeng.

●LIShaosheng’s  symphony "The Covenant of Magnificence" will be performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts on April 14.
